Dinkey Lakes Wilderness

About an hour out of Fresno, up past the foothills of the Sierras is the Dinkey Lakes Wilderness. The zone packs in multiple loops that primarily circle a series of lakes all within 10 miles. The days are long, but full of enjoyment and tranquility. Wake up, fish, pack up, fish, hike to next lake, fish, and so on until the sun goes down. This small piece of national forest is beautiful, easily accessible and was the best way to kick off my summer.
